Business Cards for Crafters

Over the past month or so, I’ve mentioned some stuff about a bunch of weird business card ideas, my favorite being the divorce lawyer card that splits in half! Last week I discussed edible business cards, which apparently aren’t as rare as one might think.

This week, I’ve found a very unique and creative way to represent a niche that we haven’t touched on yet – the crafting demographic!

This group includes quilters, painters, sculptors and any other type of tradesperson that you can find at an arts and crafts fair. It is very important to network in these groups, so that you can begin to turn your love of creating into a revenue stream for yourself! As a crafter, you will need to have a business card that truly shows your creativity and flair as an innovative artist.

Since you will be meeting a ton of other crafters at events, you should have business cards to hand out in case you meet anyone interesting!card stack-300×195

For instance, if you are a quilter, use a picture of your quilts as a background for your card and use big blocky letters to make your information jump off! If you are an artist, pick one of your favorite landscapes or portraits and make that your background. This will reflect your personal artistry and who you are as a creative person.

If you want to be really innovative, do what this crafter did – make fabric business cards!

These are a perfect way to showcase your dazzling stitching skills or your ability with a pattern. People will not throw away fabric business cards because they’ve most likely never seen them before, so use all of the scraps you have lying around!
